Matt has an interest in supporting individuals towards personal growth and development. He brings a gentle and considered approach, and draws on a range of psychological and philosophical perspectives.

Matt was born and raised in rural Waikato. He worked for a number of years in healthcare, supporting amputees, before completing his psychological training at the University of Waikato. Matt now lives with his family in the beautiful river city of Whanganui. He has a keen interest in the outdoors, and range of creative hobbies.

Matt has experience and interest in working across a diverse range of (primarily) adult clients, including experience in correctional psychology. Matt employs a generalist approach, most commonly working with various mental health concerns including depression, anxiety, OCD, trauma, burnout, and grief. Matt currently sees clients via ACC, a local DHB contract, EAP services, and private referrals. Meetings are offered both in-person and via telehealth.
Therapies Used: Matt primarily bases his work on CBT principles, but draws on ideas from ACT, Schema therapy, and Coherence Therapy.
