DR SIMON WALLACE

PhD, PGDipClinPsych (Otago), MNZCCP

Simon is a Registered Clinical Psychologist who lives in Wellington. He has worked in a variety of public health settings, including child and adolescent community teams and a regional pain management service. Alongside his private practice, he works with childhood cancer survivors as part of the Late Effects Assessment Programme for Te Whatu Ora.


Simon has experience providing therapy to people of all ages who experience affective disorders, emotional dysregulation, trauma-related disorders, chronic pain, OCD, functional seizures, gender dysphoria, substance misuse, and difficulties with self-injury or persistent suicidal ideation. He is focused on delivering person-centred evidence-based psychological therapy, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT). He is undergoing training for EMDR. 


Simon is ACC registered and accepting referrals for supported assessments and treatment.
